21. May 2011 is FC Viktoria Plzen winner of Czech football league.
Club FC Vikoria Plzen was founded in 1911 as a purely amateur club. In 1930 it became a professional club which was assigned to the 2nd league. After two years it got to the highest professional competitions in the former Czechoslovakia, where it played until 1938 when it went down. But in this period was ranked among the best teams and in 1935 he got the Central European Cup where they clashed with the famous Juventus Turin and got in the > subconscious of European football. After less successful years in 1961it found his way back to the Czechoslovakia elite and it played alternately in 1st and 2 leagues. In 1971 it won under the name of Škoda Plzen Czech Cup and it represented Czechoslovakia in Winners Cup, where the opponent Bayern Munich cough him out in the first round.
During its existence it changed its name several times and in 1992 the club returned the original name of FC Viktoria Plzenn and began to build a team that has been gradually trying to compete against the best teams in the Czech Republic. In 2010 FC Viktoria Plzen won the Czech cup and after many years it played in European Cup competition. During the club existence there have grown many quality players, including two big football stars: Pavel Nedvěd / the holder of the Golden Ball for the best European footballer of the year 2003 /, a player who is most famous in Juventus and Petr Čech, the goalkeeper in Chelsea, which has been for several years one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Currently Viktoria Plzen is the leader of Czech top team competition and desires for the first championship title. In the cadre there is a few of Czech Republic representatives.
